Purchasing Ductus
You can purchase individual DVDs or make arrangements for a site licence. Online tutoring is available to institutions that may not have a skilled tutor on staff. Individuals may, of course, purchase a copy of the program and teach themselves paleography and codicology informally. The program is also of considerable interest to both amateur and professional calligraphers. Pricing:
Individuals: USD $ 95.00 Site Licences: Site licences are available for an annual fee of USD $750. Institutions acquiring a site licence can make it available online within their institution for teaching and research by an unlimited number of users. Online courses and tutorial support: The charge for online tutoring and support for individuals working on their own is USD $500. You may find yourself in an 'international' class, comprised of users working in a number of countries simultaneously. Should an institution not have a staff member qualified to teach paleography, online Ductus courses are offered twice a year, beginning in January/February and September/October. The courses are a maximum of 14 sessions, but institutions may prefer to reduce the number of sessions in order to fit the subject into their semester time frame. [If you need to start a course at a time other than those detailed above, please let your needs be known and we'll see what can be done to accommodate you.] The home institution must make internal arrangements concerning the accreditation of the subject. A special fee for teaching a class can be negotiated--please contact us should you wish to discuss this kind of arrangement.
