Welcome to Evellum’s Manuscript Resource Warehouse!

The Warehouse is a new concept developed by Evellum that allows instructors to design their own Resource DVD drawing upon Evellum’s digital manuscript resources. These include specialized video clips, scholarly essays, PowerPoint demonstrations, images, reference works, music and printable fonts based on over a dozen medieval European scripts. Here’s how it works: You ‘stroll through’ the Warehouse, selecting resources you need for a new or established subject - perhaps a few video clips showing how manuscripts were put together, how inks and paints were made, or how letters were illuminated. You can then select from a wide variety of high-quality digital images providing all sorts of information about bindings, covers, provenance, tool and materials, and also many more examples of scripts from different periods. When you’ve finished selecting your materials, you proceed to the checkout.

Your selected items are then burned to a DVD and delivered to you by airmail (or courier, if you select that option). If the items selected are of manageable size, they may be delivered online, if that is preferable.

Of course, anyone can do this! You don’t have to be a lecturer to have an interest in manuscript culture in the Middle Ages. Special arrangements can be made for instructors wishing to network Evellum’s resources within their institution, just as site licences can be acquired for our established DVDs.
