The study of the transmission of texts in manuscript format and the culture of the book before the Age of Printing is central to a proper understanding of the intellectual life of the Middle Ages. This DVD should be of interest to historians, literature teachers and students, librarians, and anyone else interested in the history of the book in Western Europe during the later Middle Ages.
